Last week was a short one. Only a little over 1800 miles but I took 2 1/2 days home time to get my stuff and my dogs. I still earned more after expenses and (set aside) taxes than I did as a local intermodal driver with jb.
I think I've got that headway thing on people net dialed in. It annoys me endlessly because I have to keep giving up space. Plus it's not a safety feature for me. I'm so busy watching the screen to avoid the buzzer I'm not as attentive to traffic. As a safe driver I would be better off without it. On the other hand we've all seen Billy big rig swoop up on the smart car and push it from 3 feet behind at 65mph. Guess he would get more than a serious scolding if that went horribly wrong.

Random thoughts. Fried chicken. I love fried chicken. Sunday I spotted some delicious looking chicken legs. Sign said $1 ea Monday thru Thursday. $2 Friday thru Sunday. When she rang them up I was delighted she charged me Thursday's price....until I realized they were Thursday's chicken legs.

    I ate em anyway.

We have a grocery store called Frys in Arizona, which is Kroger.
The have the best fried chicken. $7 for an 8 piece. I often get one when I leave Phoenix. Good for 2 days lol.

"Hey, what shall we do today, Boots? I know. Let's help UturnGirl get a temporary N.Y. Hut!"

Caught a load to N.Y. before I got my Hut so I called JB permits. She told me, "I mailed it to your address in South Texas on the 15th."
I told her I hadn't been home yet and I was currently in Ohio.
She replied, "Well, you could go by your house...."

Boots and Dora look out at the camera and blink. The dancing map breaks into song.. "I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map...."

I've enjoyed Frys chicken when in Phoenix. I've eaten Kentucky fried, Louisiana fried, Chester fried, southern classic fried, Maryland fried, and Frys fried.
There's a place on I-10 in Texas that has a sign reads Diesel fried chicken. I chose to not try that.

Back to subject. My 2013 cascadia wallows around turns. It feels like it's going to tip over all the time. It spooks me. At first I thought I was unused to the feel of a loaded rig on curves because I was driving a fiesta for 3 years but this isn't that.
Maybe it's shocks but which ones? How to check shocks? Is it the shocks on suspension or those little shocks on cab? Or did they try for a great ride and build in stupid? Cascadia builds in a lot of stupid good ideas I hate...like those hood latches...and attaching flash relays to the tail light assembly itself. !!!

    Veryblessed and Wickedfire77 Thank this.

To test yours shocks, first look at the shocks a see if they have leaked oil out onto the lower section. Leaks are bad. Then, when you driving day begins, drive for 15-30 minutes. stop and feel the bottom section of your shocks. they should be warmer to the touch than adjacent metal- ex frame, and both shocks on each axle should feel about the same temperature.. If any are still cold they are bad. Replace each axle as a set. You may well have original shocks on that truck so plan on doing all of them at some point.
