The only person Im depending on with my life is me. Not to mention there is barley enough room for me in the truck, certainly not enough for another man or even woman. This is just me. As I said if it works for him then that's great.

My hiring standards are not at Western Express level.
Every time you get out in the truck you put your life on the line, can't control a 4 wheeler or Swify doing stupid sheet on the road with you.

I'm paying for a truck and trailer now, I'm going to get the most out of it.
Plus I enjoy running back to back logs, it's an easier lifestyle than being solo I find.
Never do I have to worrying about finding parking again to sleep or making a choice between breaking hos or being late on a load or trip planning my sleep schedule around traffic hours and appointments.
Back to back logs baby! Just wait till elog mandate comes in... Ooooh buddy!
Plus I can command $4+ a mile on 1000+ mile loads when they need to be moved asap, been there done that already.

as far as room is the truck it ain't much different than when I'm solo.
when I'm asleep in the sleeper it's just me back there, when I'm working up front it's just me up there. Only big difference is sleeping in moving truck which sucks in Indiana and a few other places.

Your funny. Sounds like you got it all together. I've teamed so regardless of what you say, a point in time will come when you won't be driving and neither will he and that truck becomes really small. I'm paying for a truck and trailer and wouldn't want all them miles on mine, no way. I'm on Elogs and don't seem to have issues with truck parking and running out of hours etc etc. I can definitely agree sleeping with a moving truck in certain states does stink lol. And with winter here it gets worse lol. Good luck man.

What works well for one man, doesnt always work for another. Doesn't make one better than the other, jyst makes it a better fit that individual.

I'm still a noob when it comes working the open market and dealing with brokers so I wouldn't say i got it together but it aint that difficult with the amount out money out here. Biggest challenge I've faced has been brokers lying about appointments and open hours.
If the truck has to sit a long time I just get a hotel, no big deal.
Miles? What's wrong with big miles if it pays?
Just did a load from Idaho to Texas that paid $6,800 and did it in a 1 a day and a half.
I'll run this truck non stop if the money is there, the point of the truck is to make money anyway.

Ya, you seem rather smart so I'm sure you will have it down sooner than later. I seen the thread about lying brokers. I had to deal with TQL a lot with a previous company and they are compulsive liars, definitely becomes a headache at times dealing with them. From my experience it seemed like they were always more of a headache than not. It got to the point that the company I was working for stopped pulling loads for them. If you got the money flowing in and its working for your business model that's what counts, I can't knock your hustle and bustle if its working for you.
