It wasn't 8 days, it could be 5 or 6 as they made him wait when he got there. My dispatcher sent them all the information regarding the closure from the state website. They were informed the entire time.

Provide all of that to the bond company and decide whether to lawyer up in the next few days IMO. I'm sorry dude this really sucks. Luck in battle I guess. I would definitely contact your cargo insurance and ask them what to do. Most likely this is a situation where you have to file a claim.

Yep. Time to provide any and all written correspondence with them on this load. I hope you've also got screengrabs of the closure, as well as the signed BOLs. That's gonna be your best bet here.

I feel bad for anyone who gets burned, no matter who it is. I've only run 7 loads total for them. I've been paid on time for every single load, never an issue. I'm very selective when I do business with them. Yes, it does get annoying when their agents start calling asking if you need an outbound load the closer you get to your delivery for them. I just take it in stride.

If you do end up suing, depending on what state you're from you could also get them for illegal wiretapping. Those geniuses do state when you call in that your phone call is being recorded during their initial call in through the recording, BUT, they never state it when they call you. This is against the law in about a dozen different states that require 2 person consent. I unfortunately do not live in a state like this. But I absolutely hate this company and informing people.

These lawyers may end up being worse culprits than TQL in the end. However, I would do the same thing, knowing myself.
