Great Frickin thread with a lot of Fair and knowledgable input.
My buddy is one of thee most Honest and Fairest persons to do business or deal with in personal life.
Can't believe he is the only one out there. As far as Brokers.
I have known him for 35 years. Yea he has some nice things after 30 years of this business, but I always thought he was the fairest hardest working guy in the world .
Until I got on this site 3 years ago and everyone was wanting to Burn the Brokers at the Stake.
I walked away astonished, feeling that I was going to see my buddy on the next American Greed, being that every freight broker was scum.
Work in the other mans Shoes for a day or a week. Cooped up in an office all day . Endless emails and incoming phone calls followed by endless outgoing calls. Invoices, mail, checks ,banking keeping the balance --Balanced.
And than the Stress.
Come the 2 days you have away from that hell hole over a weekend and you thought you were going to be off, and your caught dealing with a problem with a load all weekend.
So much for getting your blood pressure under control.
what happens when you brokers fail at getting loads covered?

Cause brokers are important.
Why should your profit as a broker be more based on a percentage of the total of the shipment?
Its no more work that I can see than any other shipment.
Not trying to be difficult here just an understanding
