I would recommend documenting these situations as they happen to create a record at that time. If you were in an accident, at least you have documentation.

It's a #### if you do and ###### if you dont situation. An accident would just splatter a mess all over the place. Computer HOS or not.

I think there is a problem within the future computer HOS when they dared to handcuff drivers to the exact spot they ran out of hours at. Never mind that the truckstop with fuel and food could be as much or more than 100 miles away in some areas of the USA. Real life does not good law make usually.

I think ELDs will improve the pay because nobody can afford to sit 7 hour for loading and unloading then the 14 clock saying you have to now go park for 10. Companies will be forced to get detention pay or more per miles to cover the down time. ELDs will make less capacity in trucking. Less capacity will also increase rate. They could just fix the loading and unloading time so truck are rolling making money. I don't think anyone can afford to sit for free anymore with ELDs and the 14 hour clock.

On paper logs you can make 1,600 miles go away like it never happened. You can even make 3,000 go away like they never happened. Do you really think driving around a wearhouse parking lot is the big problem they are trying to stop.

Please elaborate. As I see it we now have poor pay and poor safety. Pay drivers well enough to take their time and be safe. Paying by the mile and lost time because of elogs is in my opinion a recipe for disaster. The exact opposite of what elogs are supposed to fix. However the idiots don’t see this. Smh

My complaining is about the big mouths spouting off about how righteous they are by using elogs and then telling all the ways they cheat and accusing us on paper of cheating.
