Nothing in numbers yet - but I would imagine 10-15% agreed on after the company ask for 20-25%

I wouldn't "give" anything. I would go with the earlier suggestion, for everything conceded, an equal amount of stock be given to be distributed among members based on seniority. With the current price down, it would be sizable. Then you have more voting say on the future.

What in hell does a trucking company sponsor racing teams for. It isn't like the average consumer is going to call roadway for sending something. Roadway/Yellow services corporate clients, who I doubt are swayed by whether or not a racing team is sponsored.

Note Lat that I put Roadway first. My uncle Jerry retired 34 years of service told me I would be eating lead if I ever put Roadway and Yellow together with Yellow first....He is in a little bit of denial about whats become of his old company.:biggrin_25525:

At a Fort Lauderdale transportation conference Nov. 14-19, Albrecht said, "LTL carriers are now taking more of a pasting than is the TL sector."

By "bigwigs" I hope you mean union bosses as well. I have yet to see a Union officer sacrifice a salary or benefits.

    Exactly...
There is success and failure on both sides of the table... I just wish the "rank and file" would see that fact.

Alot of them do. Have you ever visited any of the teamster websites? However, when the anti-union people bring it up, it is usually part of a bigger anti-union discussion and the union member is on the defensive.

I was union member for 20 years...
2 in the labors and 20 in the Teamsters.

I know exactly how collective bargaining works and I have seen $%*# pulled by both sides in the process.
Unions had their place back in the 30's-80's but now they'll cut off their noses to spite their faces.
The Teamsters protest the Mexican trucks crossing over in San Ysidro and the Otey Mesa; then go over to Mexican side and you'll see the B.A.'s recruiting Mexican drivers to work for American companies.

Like I said, I've been in this game for quite a while and I know how the "Bread is Buttered".
