It is simple to solve because there is already a solution, medical cards have to be registered with the state to keep your cdl.
There is no reason why the company has to even be involved with the dot physicals any more.
Is it law to get a new medical card when getting on with a new company?

Has the forum started a list of companies that accept/doesnt accept your current medical card? Anyone know? I think we should if not. That would be helpful to a lot of folks.

For example, Ozark doesn't care about your current medical. The day you start orientation you go to a physical and get a new medical card. So while they don't accept your old one, they don't care if you have one or not. Just if your current CDL is valid. They'll take care of your medical card, and it won't be your expense so why would it matter? -
As stated in this thread earlier, you no longer can have a current CDL without a valid medical card. I guess what I was asking was if there were companies that did not make you retake med card upon hire? Im a pretty healthy personally, but every time I get in the little office, and its 100 degrees, and im waiting for an hour, and im getting more irritated by the minute, etc, etc, my blood pressure always goes up. Always has. Always will. Things are a lot more strict now then when I first started. I just renewed mine a week ago. But I (strictly for the purpose of conversation and information) wondered if there were companies that accepted your current med card upon hire without getting a new one. I know a lot of smaller local carriers do. But I think with most of the megas, just make you go through the process all over anyway.Btw, I have been to numerous orientations and been through the routine, piss test, physical, agility test, etc.
