Good for you, sounds like a slice.
I thought all bulk food grade flour was hauled in dry tank. I used to haul totes of flour on 5 axle trailer to a drywall factory...flour is why drywall can go moldy![]()
Hit the Jackpot! Found the ideal job for me.

I've hauled flour and it's easy. They'll teach you how to unload. Nothing to it. Monitor the air pressure and tap on the sides with a rubber mallet every now and then in case any flour is stuck to the sides of the compartments; this tapping lets the flour slide down to the discharge valve. Don't use a metal hammer like some idiots do because it damages the aluminum tanks.
Ask the boss if they provide a rubber mallet and if not buy one at Lowes or somewhere like that.bottomdumpin, tscottme, G13Tomcat and 3 others Thank this. -
I also fear the impending fight in reefer. The lack of drivers, electronic logs forced. And the shippers/receivers attitudes toward the carriers. It's gonna change. The carriers are going to get the upper hand. Shippers/receivers can't do anything about the lack of drivers. They are partly why there is a lack of drivers. Rates are going up. There is going to be a fight. I can't say I want to be in the middle of that.
I admit, I'm also weary of hauling gasoline. Had too many earnest opinions against it. Opinions from people I know darn well to trust.
I'm seriously looking forward to this. Perhaps the best years of my entire life.
I'm gonna love waking up and first thought; Where the H! am I?! .... love it.... -
Yep, that's like the trailer I pulled when hauling flour.
That 3 compartment trailer looks like he's set up for unloading into a rail car.
Oh, man, that tanker stuff sure beats grocery warehouses.Last edited: Dec 2, 2017

Tanker pays by the load. Not cents per mile.
Yes....like you said.... regardless, if I'm aiming...should comprehend my OP.
Of course I need you to tell me what I will make.
Too smart for me...
