Favorite old school truck?

Funny; I don't feel old reading this thread. We had some great trucks and a lot of fun trucking . We were living "old school" it was great.

 

Got the metal rod covered

 

Helps being retired and looking back.

I miss the sight of an old truck grabbing another gear then that black smoke rolls out as she settles into the pull.

 

Exactly!! I don't set the world on fire but when pulling hard my truck does fairly well, kinda nice walking past a newer truck.

 

Especially when it's a five axle, and I cruise past with my excavator on a six axle. I at least know who has more weight.

 

Me and my buddy Jim today at the Steel Mill. 78 W900A / 3406 CAT, and my 95 W900L Glider / 855 Cummins. Neither engine is by any means stock.

Or 8 axles and grossing bout 140 some thousand passing them just chugging along. LOL
