Ask your instructor if he was a Super Trucker from day one cause he isn't worth a s/#t as a instructor. The guy has no business teaching. You can tell him that for me.

 

What company did you go with anyway? That loudmouth instructor needs to be sent packing.

 

the school I went to had a golf cart with a trailer (sized to scale) attached for practicing backing. It helped me a lot in getting my head around backing a trailer. It was a lot easier then, for me at least, to scale up to a big truck and trailer.

If you have access to a smaller vehicle with trailer (car or p/u with boat trailer or even a riding mower with yard trailer) you might give it a try.

 

I've searched in the past but found nothing. A current search for "birdseye trailer backing" found these two

There is one more that is better then both of those but for the life of me, I can't find it. There were actual pointers like when the trailer tires stop moving crank the wheel the other way and it fall right into the hole. I'll look for it again and post the link when I find it. I wanted to watch it again too.

A word to the company about that trainer might be a good idea. If all he's doing is sitting on his butt in the car and yelling out the window he's not really training anybody. He's just intimidating them and that's no way to teach anybody anything.
A teacher's job is to show people how to learn, not beat them over the head with their shortcomings.
