This email is in response to your inquiry regarding the straight truck “TEAM" position posted on Indeed. I’m a fleet owner and all of my trucks are leased on with Panther Premium Logistics. My company name is: Prime Logistics Inc. I currently have a opening in one of our trucks it’s an automatic (2016 Freightliner Cascadia).

* 100% of detention pay goes to the drivers. . (split between two drivers)
* 70% of all bonuses also go to the drivers. . (split between two drivers)
**Note:The 22% of gross revenue equates to 27 cents per mile on loaded miles, and 5 cents per mile on deadhead miles (PER DRIVER), SO Your Splitting 54 cents on loaded and 10 cents on deadhead (deadhead miles are negotiable, this means the driver can request more money from dispatchers if the deadhead miles are to high).
**Note: 100% of detention pay (The truck earns $20 per hour {split between each driver} after the first 2 hours the truck arrives at the shipper or receiver), and 70% of all bonuses {split between each driver}. MONTHLY PERFORMANCE BONUS, SIGN ON BONUS and LOYALTY BONUS offered to all drivers .
$500.00 Sign on Bonus (Per Driver)
$5000.00 Loyalty Bonus (Per Driver)

All straight trucks usually average between $850-$1200 per driver per week, but please also set your expectations to earn less than $850 on slow weeks, and weeks when you go on home time; since this will cause the truck to be limited to only accepting loads going towards home, which impacts the revenue to the truck, and when you come back from home time; should you not have a full week. There will be weeks where you earn more than $1200 per week during our busy weeks.
Pay is EVERY WEEK via direct deposit. You would come in as an independent contractor (1099).

Home Time:
- Drivers stay home for 3-4 days when they stay over the road for 3 weeks (21 days)
- Driver stay home for 7 days if they stay over the road for 4 weeks (28 days).

22% of what?
I know a bit about Panther, I see their trucks for sale everywhere. Well, not their trucks, but the owners of them that were leased to them. My own personal experience, is that their rates are on the low side, I can't even remember the last time we even bailed out one of their loads, been a few years. They used to be big in the expedite world, not so much lately. But, that is just one man's opinion, and you know what they say about opinions. Personally, I would not touch them with a ten foot pole.Feedman and 313moneymike313 Thank this. -
To me, this sort of trucking (expedited) is too hit/miss. Too much down time can be expected between movements. So I would not bother with it, no matter the potential pay at the end of the week, UNLESS I was married to my team partner. Then it might be a worthwhile long-term option.
I can't imagine sitting 36-48+ hours in a truck with someone I could barely stand between loads. Would have to get a motel. And there may or may not be enough money in it to justify motel costs sometimes for many days every week/month.313moneymike313 Thanks this. -
Soon as I seen its a 1099 job and you don't have any say on how the truck operates I quit reading.
My suggestion is run away, do not take this guys offer -
I truly thank everyone who voted and commented. I will not be taking the offer

And FWIW, you will see similar "job offers" from a lot of similar "truck owners" running their tax liability reduction "businesses". Not sure what your financial and life situation is, but these types of opportunities are generally best suited to those who have financial stability and income, and are just looking for something to do to kill time as they approach their senior years.

Wow, glad you didn't take that. Lousy lousy pay plus it's a 1099 position.
Where do you live?
