I was going through my deer camera photot, and just realized I have a picture of this buck from Oct 30th! Does this deer look familiar? My camera was only about 50 yards from where I shot him one month later!

I prefer to see them alive, but heh you run into any mtn. lions while you are out there?

Its strange to read in the bible people are suppose to take care of the animals, then in another part talks about eating hooved animals......

one question how do you sike yourself up for the hunt?

i mean i imagine seeing kids at a petting zoo, then the kids gone, and the animals being slaughtered.....anybody ever tell you how to keep your mind off feeling bad for the deer, moose, elk whatever?

and will Jesus take us hunting in heaven, i mean Heaven is talked about being more beautifull then ever imagined.....I can't imagine adults gunning down deer, elk, moose there

No mountain lions around here. I know what you mean about seeing them alive. I enjoy watching them, that's why I have the camera. I'm not out there to kill whatever moves like some hunters, just trying to get a trophy for my wall.

I would much rather see a deer die instantly, than have a deer starve to death over the long winter because there is not enough food to support the population. This last winter was an especially harsh one, and I put out hay and corn on our farm for them all winter long. The money for that came out of my pocket. Any good sportsman will take care of the deer heard, that includes managing the population.

Thats the way I look at it also
If hunters didn't exist many many more animals would die a hard and long death
I feel hunting actually is more humane than the butcher houses
We learn to live closer to nature and hunt at a natural level
    Sure we carry weapons
    But so do animals
The claws and teeth given to wild hunters are no different
Sure God didn't give us these natural attributes but he gave us a brain
And by-golly I am going to use mine to feed my family
