This truck keeps making this buzzer noise. Hard to describe. Sometimes it comes from the right dash area sometimes the left. It's not a beeping sort of noise. A low tone that last for a couple seconds. Anybody have an idea what it is?

Lane departure warning system? Try driving next to or over the fog line and see if you can hear it on the right side again.

    Yeah that was it.
Man what will they think of next.
Penske gave me this truck for a rental and it was a windy day so I was naturally having a hard time keeping her exactly between the lines. Seemed like it was going off every 10 seconds or so.. Got in an area that wasn't so windy and the buzzer stopped.
Not sure if I'm liking this or not but it does seem like it would be good for keeping you from swerving off the road or into on coming traffic due to falling asleep or the like. Won't really be able to tale until I drive it on a none windy day.
I called freightliner up to ask about it and they gave me no help. I told them I'm sure its something simple but of course they wanted me to bring it in..

There might be a button on the dash that will turn it off for 15 min or so.

They pickup lines in the road when the sun is low and hitting the road just right. And curves in the road when you are just trying to keep the trailer centered in the lane. It gets old, hope you're not stuck with it for long.

Found out what causes the motorcycle noise in Cascadia on the right side of the engine there is a two piece heat shield over the turbo. I took a screwdriver and bent the shield at the seam between the picecs and put a link in it, solved my problem. Good luck.

Depending on the make and year you can disconnect those lane departure sensors at the box on the windshield. I have 2018 cascadia, beautiful truck but I dont like that its auto. Anyways these are super sensitive to the lane departure warning, if you pop of the housing cover there is just a wire you disconnect amd that solves it.

You mean the housing that looks like a camera on the windshield? How do you open it? I don't want to break anything but that noise drives me crazy doing around curves early morning.

Hey, could you post a picture or describe the wire that we could disconnect? Thanks.
