Thanks for chiming in Cardfan89. I've read a lot of your post since I'm seriously considering USF. I just got done with my OTR experience phase. Almost 3 years. And while I'm still in better shape than most by working out often and eating right, I will be 40 soon. I'm also concerned that I still will not have a personal life by doing food service. At first I thought it was 4 days a week( I think you've stated that) with weekends off but now I just read it's 5 days with Thurs and Fri off. Anyways, I'm going to see if I can get some answers this week. I'm in Tampa so maybe it's different all over.

All barns are different on days off you have to remember that even though it might not be union they still go by seniority boards so top guys have the best routes as for your age if your in good shape you will be ok today I had 14 stops 700 cases 15500 lbs took me 11 hours with a hour lunch at my barn they will put it on you but in 3 years I have only had two routes I couldn't get done in my 14. As long as you work steady all day long you would be amazed on how much grocerys you can throw lol the two guys on bottom are older then you and there making it.

Yea we have to take the mandatory 30 and we can take another 30 if we want to and since I'm paid by the hour and get overtime by the day I try and take that hour to get a little o.t. in my pocket

The average time a young back tossing the cheese until it fails. Too much ow, not enough money.

    Indeed.

Pulling a pallet jack is enough for me.

Honestly older than you're prob thinking. When I was slinging cases the average age of our 200+ drivers was late 30s to early 40s
