    Agreed but you didn't specify shoulder parking. You just said "when to park" in general. The current HOS rules are all about telling you when you've gone as far as you can go, on more then a few different thresholds.

    Hallelujah, the HOS ELD has managed to stop the trucks.

    Unintended consequences I say.

    Now if we were still running paper, we would run it and park later like we always have.

    When highway deaths rise from people ramming the decap bars of the parked semis then we should see a change.

    Doesnt matter if they pay 100 dollars a mile. If the drivers cant move they cant move.

    Your not going to get the lazy ### kids to do any job that has a specfic law against being on your phone.

    The ELDs compounded with the driver shortage, which will only get worse, might drive up rates, but with less trucks, driving less miles, means less freight being moved regardless of what is being paid to move it.
