I will agree with you. He couldnt go to California, but no mention of him not being able to go to Arizona, Arkansas or New Mexico or any other Western State for that matter, just California--I never ran into anybody who couldnt go to California for "Health Reasons" Unless he just didnt want to go there because of smog in L.A. , but then again there was no mention of not going to Chicago for the same reasons. Outstanding Warrants would make sence, but they should have found that out prior to even hiring him. But outstanding "bovine excrement" sounds pretty close to what actaully kept him out of there.

I dont know, but I have been reading through your posts and I m seeing that you are really all over the map. One day Covenant is the greatest thing since sliced butter, and another day you are on here complaining about the redcoat never getting home and then you are on here talking baout how you are really having it out with Covenanat payroll there in Chattanooga. Im not sure what you really want. If you had read all the posts and messages both here and elsewhere before he went to work with Chattanooga, you would have understood what this joke of a company is all about. Also, Im not sure why he is even teaming over there at all, since Covenant does not make you team. You Never, Never, Never, Ever team with anyone who is not related to you as in Husband-Wife, EVER! And I cannot stress that enough. To many teams that just met and started teaming at the company's wish have been very unsorry and unlucky. Even these companies will tell you that, and they will tell you that the most successful and profitable teams that they have are husband-wife teams.

Also, a company who will discuss my paycheck or payroll or my benefits with anyone else except me, including my wife, is NOT a company that wants me drivng for them. In fact it is against federal law for them to do that, even while you are sitting there. That right there is enough for me to never drive for them, ever.

The explanation has been that the driver in question
is allergic to ecualyptus trees, claimed to only be found in California.

Whereas, it IS true that there are many such trees here in the
Land-0-Fruits & Nutz, having been planted years ago as windscreens
for the orange and other citrus groves, --- MOST of those citrus groves
are now houses, businesses and parking lots. And the ecualyptus trees
have been chopped down and chopped into firewood.
Those still standing, are subject to our wildfires. :yes2557:

I guess if you eat them, they may be dangerous, but it is not they are emitting any dangerous kind of pollution that just being in the state with them would effect you. Its like people that are allergic to dairy products-I dont see them saying that they cant go to Wisconsin for "health reasons"

    There's ecualyptus pollen.
And SoCal is famous for Santana winds.
    Pollen can blow for miles.
And could even cross state lines, which, I reckon, would
make pollen inTERstate, rather than inTRAstate.

I think it IS possible that some folks are allergic to
ecualptus oil and/or pollen. And if their reaction to ecualptus
is sever enough, would be good reason to avoid anywhere contact
    could be possible.
Stranger things are known to occur.
    ESPECIALLY in California. :yes2557: :biggrin_25525:

    Let me check my logbook
    0
I had an allergy problem with Cottonwood tree pollen for quite a few years. I finally got past that after living in Florida for 5 years. The first couple of years we did live in Florida, we would drive back to Wisconsin after school got out for the summer, and shortly after I would get into Wisconsin, the allergy would kick in if the cottonwood fluff was flying. Drove me nuts. I still dealt with it though. For some reason, I seem to have over-ridden that allergy, as I have not had problems the last couple of years of living in Wisconsin again. That or maybe the last couple of years haven't been as strong for the allergen.

Come on man, give her a break. She has been posting her ups and downs on here for all to read and it has been quite a journey so far. As far as them discussing pay questions with the two of them (actually just answering 'when does this kick in' kinds of questions) you are way off base saying that is against federal law.
Look, if you dont like Covenent or have an ax to grind just remember you dont have to read this thread. But dont attack Mrs RC cuz she doesnt deserve it.

Tim, sorry....but in this case, you don't know what you are talking about. :biggrin_25512:

If you are a student (with no prior driving experience), Covenant absolutely DOES make you team for 6 months. You do not have a choice to drive solo until you've been through their training (6-8 weeks) and then through a 6-month/80K mile teaming period. It is different if you are coming into the company with solo OTR experience, however.

Being able to read maps is very important in the Big truck truckin' industry.
Some are better at map readin' than others though.
But not as good as sliced bread. :biggrin_25512:
Unless, the knife doin' the slicin' is hot.
    I reckon that'd make a difference.
Check your Rand McNally Motor Carriers' Road Atlas, Tim.
You might be on the wrong page. :biggrin_25525:
If my feeble memory serves me correctly, Mrs Redcaot did explain why Redcoad went with Covenant.
Did you happen to read that, too?
If not, the "joke" may be on you.
    And you that because ............... ? :smt102
You DO sound stressed, Tim. :biggrin_25525:

And, you know that "stress" because................? :smt102
Is that assessment based on your experience, or just your personal opinion, ......... which is based on what?
    What you've heard?
    If so, from whom?
    Another wannaBee or student?

Would you believe there are those who would disagree with you on that?
And their opinion(s) are likely based on their experience.
    Nothin' teaches better than experience.
    Very true.
And, some who have teamed with spouses or relatives have also been "unsorry" --- and perhaps even "unlucky".
While others have been content, happy, and quite satisfied.
    Imagine that.
    Who told you that?

    Really?
    Hmmmmmmmm
    Not even WITH your permission?
How does your wife feel about that?
    Something to hide
    Or nothing to claim?
    Where'd it all go?

Consider that there are those who wouldn't have a wife that they couldn't "share" that information with. And, no doubt, wives who feel the same way.
Marriage is another form of teaming.
And a GOOD truckin' team is not unlike a successful marriage, in some ways.
    A GOOD team SHARES.
And doesn't keep secrets about their abilities, disabilities, strengths and weaknesses. Rather, they cover each other's back's.

IMO, a wife should be allowed, and even entitled, to know what her husband is doin', and how much he's earnin'.
If the table were turned, would you expect to know what a wife's earnings are/were?
    Equal partners?
Before I will accept that as a "fact", I would, in fact, expect you to provide where that "fact" can be proven to be, in fact, a "fact".
    That's a fact. :yes2557:
