    I’m sure.

After all, if one can afford to live in a neighborhood governed by yard nazis, then he should be able to afford his own property and storefront in an area with the proper zoning for truck parking.

Some places can turn into junk heaps if not policed. It's a price you pay for securing your property value.

Didn't know this would turn into such a spectacle.

Honestly it's just a shameless money grab by the town and a NIMBY (Not In My BackYard) "oh a truck in my neighborhood! How ghetto! What of the property values?!?" So I'm really just looking to get the multiple tickets down to one (which by itself is less than the cost of driving to the nearest truck stop).

Next court date for parking tickets (which I understand is quite a popcorn worthy event in and of itself) is next week. So I'll hold off on updates until there's something to say.

BTW, this town (I'll post the link later, I'd like to not ID the place yet) just lost a half a million dollar lawsuit for "intimidating illegals" so they might be less likely to make a big deal of it if at the end of the day I pay one ticket instead of making a court case for all 3.

Also, yes I DO drive an A, but I'd planned out my Christmas by taking 2 "C" loads into the Bronx. Instead of going back home, switching to my personal car and driving back to NYC after 14 hours (but Off Duty) I saved MYSELF some hassle by arranging to go straight to my mother's place. (Which also allowed me to deliver her some moving boxes that were really too big for her car anyway)

But the big news is: We sold the house!!! YIPPEE!!! so soon it will all be someone else's problem.

So was it posted no parking?

You can bring it up but 34 is irrelevant IMO they will just tell you to plan better. Do you take your 34 on the GW bridge? Of course not, you plan your trip to avoid that because you know you're not supposed to park on the GW bridge. So the question becomes, did you know or should you have known you were in a no parking zone?

Oh another thing this town does around the holidays is ticket cars with out of state plates since they're more likely to "just pay the darn thing" than the locals.

Then there's the little matter of "DWB" that tends to get "people of color" pulled over more often than not.

So glad to be gone from there.

Our HOA rules are plain and available to anyone with an IQ above plant life. Every homeowner/renter, within the first 10 days of moving in, by law gets a copy of the Covenants, Declarations and Bylaws, as well as specific parking rules. First business day of every year we send out a copy of the parking rules, they are published twice a year in the newsletter, published on our FB page and on the community website, at the entrance to our little community are signs stating "Vehicles over 10,000 GVWR prohibited, local delivery excepted". Our Covenants specifically prohibit vehicles in excess of 8,000 GVWR (we modified to comply with the City which allows up to 10,000 lbs), and actually says vehicles in violation may be towed without warning. Since my HOA is private, our streets are not City maintained, we can do as we please. That I am currently aware of, we have two dozen guys who drive company 1 ton vans (cable, phone, etc.) and at least 5 who are truck drivers.

Technically, I do not have to be nice, there is more than enough warnings posted.

Used to work for a guy who bought a house not realizing there was an HOA. On move-in day, he was presented with a 3" thick book of rules.

He had dogs and wanted a fence..."no chain link fences"...but it didn't say anything about snow fences, so that's what he put up. Bright orange and ugly. HOA complained, but wasn't much they could do since it wasn't expressly prohibited. If they wanted the snow fence gone, they'd have to OK the chain link fence.

While that fight was going on, he decided to paint the house. HOA had 5 colors he could choose from...so he chose all 5 and painted stripes. There was nothing prohibiting him from painting stripes on his house, and he used only the "approved" colors. Wasn't a darn thing the HOA could do.

He wouldn't have bought the house if he'd known there was a HOA, and he wasn't happy with the restrictions they placed on what he could/couldn't do with his own property...so he looked for loopholes just to annoy them.
