is there any kind of spray that you can spray onto rust spots to stop them from rusting more? WD-40 just dries out, i don't think spraypaint would stick to the rust. Thinking about rust spots on my driveshaft that are all over and around the U joints, and other spots on the frame where paint starts to chip. If you seal over the rust spot so no more moisture gets to it it doesn't rust anymore right?

i read up on the subject, any ferrous metal that gets rust on it will continue to rust through. it acts like a sponge, soaking down layer by layer, like a cancer, until you remove the rust and seal up the exposed metal. why in the world would every piece of metal on the external of any equipment nowdays NOT be permanently coated?? i don't understand it, with the techology and chemistry available, either permanent powder coating or spray on bedliner material would negate any and all rust, ever, and it wouldn't chip.

    the stuff is STRONG!
