Left early this a.m. with a full 14hrs to pick up an Amazon load about 20 miles from our terminal. Load was cancelled and I returned to the terminal 2 hours after I left and went sleeper berth. If I stay sleeper berth 8 hours I should get the balance of my 14 back correct? And then need to do a 2 hour break later. Am I correct?

The other question is, were you paid for your time on the cancelled load? You should be. Your company will bill the customer for TONU (Truck Ordered, Not Used). If they don't pay you something for your time and miles, that's not right.
