if you really want in a truck, you shouldn't have a problem. too many companies looking for someone to train. you seem to have more sense than most. if you can tough out the time to get the experience, you wont have much trouble getting a local job, even regional, depending on where you live.
StewBear Thanks this. -
Toomanybikes and StewBear Thank this. -
Roehl Transport has their own cdl school in Wisconsin with a choice of flatbed, dry van, refrigerated. Roehl pays you $500.00 a week while in their cdl school. They're the only company that does that.

There is a million local jobs hauling frac in Wisconsin. Everyone and their mom has a mine now.
Might be extremely boring though just bringing loads from the wet plant to the dry plant all day. -
get cdl, find a good company, train with (good trainer), if you can. if your trainer does not like to answer questions, request another trainer. some will just use you as a second log book and dont care what you learn.

120k mile should not take 2 yrs to fill. just over one year and it should be done. even as a new driver you can do 10k a month. just figure you might want to know.
StewBear Thanks this. -
even flatbed, you can still do 8k a month.
StewBear Thanks this.
