Why does it matter so much to you how @Ristow or any one else logs. There is an exemption a lot of people have it. Nothing illegal about using paper under the exemption so again I ask why does it matter to you

What you mean to say is, it takes away your ability to cheat and not run compliant correct?
So by enacting a law that removes this ability how is this an encroachment.

It doesn't , I'm just asking how it's an encroachment.

Just how do you know I cheat. I'm sick to death of hearing it. It burns your ### cause you can't. That's exactly why you can't drop it. I tell you what you go buy me a 2000 or up Pete 379 ext hood. CAT with an 18 and 3.36 rears in as good a shape as my 90 model. I will put an E-log in it and never miss a God #### beat.

I didn't think so. Cheating has not one thing to do with my situation and that burns your ###. Show me in the regs were paper is not compliant on a 1990 model truck hauling livestock and agricultural products

I never said paper wasn't compliant in a situation like yours anywhere in any one of my posts.

No actually it doesn't burn my ### nothing could be further from the truth, LOL.
Matter of fact even when I was on paper I rarely fudged or cheated.
Another fact I've always beat people over the head with HOS wheather it be a dispatcher or shipper/receiver.

I seriously couldn't care less if someone is able to run paper or not. I simply asked a question.

So let's get back to the original question.
How is enacting a law the forces the vast majority to run compliant an encroachment?

Who has to pay for the equipment required to be compliant if not covered under one of the exemptions?

    LOL
Swift and Werner figured out how to pay for elogs, surely you can too.
    LOL.
This poster probably wants to let his raw sewage pile up under his house trailer, why should he connect to a sewage system or build a septic system.
If he owned a restaurant he’d be complaining about the gooberment making him buy refrigerators to keep the food cold.
    It’s hilarious
