Stay regional the logistics have to change a human body will only take so much stress until you have problems. A tow truck will charge you 400-1000 just to go 1-100 miles towing a bobtail. It’s acceptable to everyone may gripe but they pay. Them loads sit on dock sure people may say everything will go up but you have to realize that will out price the average family and kill the economy. These companies are making record breaking profits while most of truckers think well they can’t afford to pay us more. But yet everyone now make more than you and have a better quality of life than you also.

ELDs will limit trucking capacity. That will probably make the rate go up. That what everyone want. Sure the drivers running crazy hours won't like it. So far rates are going up.

No, I don't have anti-lock brakes, but at least they are proven to enhance safety. Elds do not enhance safety, and may even make it worse. It will be interesting to compare safety records of all the Eld companies versus exempt "outlaw" companies in the years to come.

We desperately need a new government department , the federal truck monitoring dept , just think of the safety possibilities , instant compliance for speeders , drivers going over HOS , and violations to numerous to imagine .
It would employ thousands of regulators , they would be known as Big brother , we will all be safe and live happily ever after

    The only way to ma
I understand that but look at the weather it’s been terrible and they have to pay truckers took off for the holidays weather delays etc. I don’t see it being and different from business as usual once they squeeze you a for little while. When fuel skyrocketed they still till this day have truckers thinking their doing something wrong. In any situation you always hear you should have planned for that. No matter what nobody wants to leave their family and friends and be in solitary confinement for weeks living in a tin can to only come home and see regular jobs paying much more and now Jody then made it to my recliner putting miles in it while I sit in my Cab worrying about how to make it on the little money I make.

Whoa, you brush with your teeth with fluoride too, because dentists are for your health too... right [flouride rots your brain and is a by-product of the aluminum industry, but is profitable]

You take pills too, because doctors are for your health too... right [diet fixes most health problems but is not PROFITABLE]

Only 4% of accidents in the US involve truckers. 80% of those accidents are the fault of passenger car.

But carry on getting pressed on

I have a dog who's never been on a leash, she is a smart and trained country dog. She's never needed a leash, wether at home or in the public. She's never ran away, she handles her business and comes right back. . . BUT

if you try to put a leash on her, she will freeze up like you just paralyzed her. She will not move an inch. She never needed the leash

Cars don't have the special government department ruling on their safety. So you want a department for that also ?
