not only are you are not free to do as you please.you weren't free to do as you please before this mandate, and i don't know anyone that is saying we should all just do as we please. basic steps toward safety and dangerous foolishness are welcomed by pretty much everyone.

you are forced onto a flawed government mandated HOS and now monitored electronically.both of which,as stated on here by more than one member has been called encroaching laws.

you may be fine with all this, but others like myself are not. you are free to be fine with it,as others are free not to be. casual dismissal may be fine for you, but this retarded stance that until someone convinces you it's encroachment,it isn't,is kinda funny.

go read up the medical fitness recommendations being planned. no encroachment here either i'm sure.

You haven't explained how it isn't an encroaching law.
You will never except an answer to that question which disagrees with your own. Your way is the only way. By your words I don't want paper so I can cheat and continue not to comply. While you rarely cheated on paper. So the fact you did is now established. With that it's fair to assume you take steps to conserve your 70 whenever you can. Do these steps follow the HOS rules to the letter or in the gray area that every one likes to believe isn't breaking the law or "cheating". There is no difference in that and rewriting history. There is more to the HOS than drive time. You can tell your self that what you do is ok but it's really not. To continue this debate is asinine.

Here is something to think about, the lost revenue from log book tickets is going to be felt. When it starts to come down to DOT officers may be cut back then they will get real interested in examining the ELD device and write tickets accordingly. That will push CSA scores up and companies will come up with a way to tighten down yet some more. Which then trickles on down. At what point is it too much for you to deal with?

Right , like I said you can't explain your statment that the ELD mandate is an encroaching law.
Your are correct that more than one has posted its an encroaching law, but not one person can explain why.
A few have tried with the whole liberty's thing but that's just not a correct assessment.
Also a large number have tried to bring in hos which is a completely issue.

Please stop trying to bring in hos or weather I cheated or not it has nothing to do with my question. by the way I never stated I didn't want papper I don't care either way.
The statement was made that the ELD mandate was an encroaching law.
    I simply asked HOW?
But not one person can explain how it is.
And yes I have stated why it isn't a few posts back.

I see you don't see that it's going beyond acceptable limits.

So you can get on my ### about about not wanting to run compliant but refuse to talk about your non compliance issues. That seems a little one sided there hot rod

there is no answer for driverdriver. and it has been said more than once here that the encroaching was in place prior to the eld mandate. there has been many points made of encroachment, for months now.

he just wants a response that he alone gets to judge worthy,on a narrow myopic part of the problem that he chooses. but of course,he's not for or against it.....

it's really not unlike when a liberal poses on a forum as a libertarian so they can take drive by style pot shots at republicans without having to field any pushback about their own party...cuz their "libertarian".

First week, well, it doesn't do a real good job of telling you where you are, it was as much as 11 miles from a reference point, said I was over 10 miles from Bellefonte, PA, I was actually at Snowshoe.

Took me half a hour to find another town, at a junction of 3 roads, the reference point was 3 towns away and the on a different road.

    Real handy.

    Oxbow Thanks this.
