Good morning everyone. It is the last day for my colts under the Pagano regime.

Anyways. Does anyone know of any ELOGS that come with trackers? Most place I look shows I have to buy the two separate.

I have looked on here also and no luck. Any advice would be appreciated. @Chinatown

Elogs have to track you to log where you are...

The little plug in ones will run through an Android device that needs to have GPS enabled, if that's the sort you're talking about. Those are the devices that are running around $200. The ones with the integrated GPS and such go up in cost I do believe.

By law they all do tracking to an extent. ELDs must record location info on power up, every duty status change, and every 60 minutes on drive.

Or are you wanting a more real-time tracking?

Keep Truckin does a really good job at it. I pay $360/yr all in. Makes the IFTA filing a lot easier also.

Ouch,.. when did you buy it?

I went with Keep Trucking in Oct and I only paid $244 for the year.

Hopefully you arent having the same issues I had with it. Blutooth kept dropping and I would have to go in and manually claim driving events through the admin panel and fix his logs.

I recently tried another and not having the same problems,.. plus it allows editing of line 3 where Keep Trucking does not. It also has trails on the admin map. Shows me exactly where my truck is and where its been.

I bought it on the black Friday sale for $280. All in all I haven't had any issues.

I know the regs pretty well, but some owners want to do real time tracking to spy on their drivers.

Omnitracs, all in one unit, plug and play, it tracks, records and sends all of the info via cell to the main office. I was told ea unit cost $3,000. No idea on the back end costs at the office. I have heard over $100,000 to outfit all of the trucks. No training is provided. Revenue is already down.
