Rand McNally ELD 50 questions

My trucks don't leave Ohio. So Weds (after the RND ELD-50 decided to re-write the drivers logs), i called the OHP Motor carrier enforcement division. I received this reply,, As long as a driver (and carrier) are trying to comply, they wont be issuing citations or fines until April 1. He said they need that much time to train the enforcement officers as well.

I also had a truck inspected while the RND ELD-50 was even working. My driver left the roadside inspection with a new CVSA sticker. Just sayin,,,,

 

Still working with Tech Support at Rand to get a dedicated person..

RM is aware and is working on the issue. No, I do not post that statement as a general statement. I posted it since I was one of the recipients of 4 hours of E-Mails back and forth on this issue this morning.

All those posts I did copy and forward this morning...

Calling is not going to resolve the issue if you are on DC Ver 4.6.1. RM is working on the issue.

I am working with the Supervisor of CS, Director of Fleet Products, Manager of Fleet support.

When a fix is ready I will post.

Trust me.. I have been on this site since 2009. I am not a fly by night support person.

ELD-50 version 1.0 - Android Only $99.xx
ELD-50 Version 1.1 - IOS/Android $149.xx

If you got the version 1.0 and you need the it for an IOS device, please take the complete package back and exchange it for the version 1.1. I understand it has a red sticker on the box stating for IOS/Android.

 

If you are having ELD-50 issues let me know what version of ELD-50 you have. The 1.0 or 1.1
