Until you’ve had a Maryland style crab cake, you have not had any.

I've had a plenty of them. Obrycki's is suppose to be the best. But I never ate one of there's. However B more crab cakes doesn't top a Maine lobster roll or a Boston seafood bucket!!!

Man now you got me wanting a lobster roll so bad!!!

St Michael's would be the place to get it, however I do not suggest taking a trailer in to that place there is no room. They also load containers of Crab if I remember right.

I spent part of my employment steaming blue crab, I finally had enough of killing them. I guess I am too nice to do that long term. Take a chilled basket of them things out (Chilled enough so that they wont move much.) take one, down the chute to the far end, grab another, kill it downt he chute. Work quickly, the basket is thawing.

Worse case scenario several want out. Then they start migrating down the chute. So you start killing faster. The rest of the basket is waking up now so every crab you pull has one or two holding on to it.

Once they are really dead (Ice pick in the heart from the flipper) they get seasoned and then into the gas steamer. That's how we did ours anyhow back then.

I like lobster too, but crabs are our mainstay of course.

Can't eat crab or lobter. Anyway there's like 14,000,000 loads going to Maryland and no one seems to be taking them. You sure it's a nice place?

    ha.

Don't ask me about it being nice. Is Mesa Arizona a nice place?

If you have a half million for a colonial 4 bedroom on plenty of land, you went to western maryland with it. To get away from the grubby cities. Baltimore is a ####hole and DC a open sewer of corruption. Hagerstown is a good working town but a little bit off some days. Tidewater is awesome if you have time to sit and count the gulls circling your coffee and doughnuts. Otherwise it's the same today as it was 400 years ago. Always the Same.

You wont believe the divide between the haves and have nots. I myself have witnessed first hand how those who do not have anything cannot live there freely because there is literally no money. You can work 168 hours a week, but need 5 roommates to split the monthly rent. Electric bills are three times what we pay here in Arkansas and that's just a start. Taxes on a house exceeds my annual income in some cases. If I inherited my father's nice house, I would have to auction it because annual taxes on that is more than what I take in a year. Ha.... and he built it from nothing. Just as well. back to nothing.

There are spots around the area where it's nice. But it's a you stay on your side of this street and I stay on my side so to speak nice. Ugh... One additional concept of living up there is you have to keep up appearances. If you could not, then no one has any time for you. Ask me what do I do for a living? Oh I drive a 18 wheeler. Orly? *Sniffs* and that is the end of that conversation.

It's not all bad. If you find other truckers or people in the right social class you are in, there is a ton of fun to be had. I don't see any reason for it to change now especially while our kids wear winter coats in 40 degree baltimore schools today if they aint finally closed the #### things.

It is if you’re west of Frederick or east of the Chesapeake. Different worlds in those areas compared to the central 1/3rd of the state.

OK. I found out the truth about Maryland style crab cakes.
I went by a place in Boulder Nevada today that had a female maniquen, wearing a blonde wig, hat, sun glasses, holding a sign that said "Maryland Style Crab cakes ".

This explains everything. That is the place that manufacturers them, and all those loads are probably from there.
