Get to start day 3 at 4:30am. Not sure why? That's what I was told. All is good with me.
I'm really thinking I got to be real serious on this. When I go out on my own. Won't be anybody around to help. He's going to get me to start operating the trailer myself, day 3. Will let you know.

You know that I’m by no means attacking, or making fun, as we’ve chattered privately and got on well.
I will admit to thinking it was an odd way to phrase things, and certainly wasn’t surprised that a couple guys brought it up in a sarcastic manner.
Not sure what you were trying to indicate, but I clearly am missing it...whatever it is.
Anyhow, it wouldn’t shock me that you’re doing fine, seeing as you’re familiar with Class B trucks. Only real difference is that you have an articulating tail now.
Why though, are they ‘training’ you in Denver? That seems a bit odd to me. Isn’t this company you hired on with supposed to be running dedicated lanes...?Shock Therapy, WesternPlains and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
Denver is where my terminal is. Most all that I do will be delivering flower out of here. Two big huge grain elevators is where I deliver from. As big of elevators as I've ever seen. Directly west of the airport.
I'm not sure how to describe? They are sort of dedicated runs? They sure are regular. Don't make them until the customer calls. From what I know. It is more than just regional. This company has a lot of terminals. Do a lot of day driving, local. They need us OTR's though. Been told sometimes it's because the mill where our terminals is, has something that somebody else ran out of or doesn't have. Then they don't have the free truck to come get it. Most often, I'm to do a long run that, well, there isn't any other way to get it there. I will always be returning to Denver. He did mention if there isn't anything to do here. He might loan me up to someplace like Ohio to help out for a while.Oxbow, Farmerbob1, Shock Therapy and 3 others Thank this. -
Sense I haul flour 75% of the time plan for a roller coaster work schedule. Bakeries go thru busy and slow times like no other that Ive seen. We have a few places that are pretty regular but still have their up/down swings. But holly heck things break loose with a couple customers when the railroad miss places railcars then we cant get trucks from Spokane to Portland and back fast enough. Lol
Oxbow, Dan.S and WesternPlains Thank this. -
