Ok, my temper has gotten the better of me with 3 of these jobs! two of them well i chose the wrong companies in the first place! i only have 1 ticket 7 mph over 32 in a 25, no dui or reportable accidents!

i have 4 yrs otr twic,hazmat,tanker/doubles, have 3 yrs winter driving and 4 otr all weather! mountains west to east coast hell i will even go to the hated ny, that doesn't bother me but lack of pay and when i follow the rules for home time and go beyond what you ask for staying out on the road, it shouldn't be a problem getting me home, a day or two ok, but 3 of my last jobs it took them a week after my hometime date to get me home and one of them included sitting for 2 days because they didn't have any freight they claimed, after i told them doing this favor for my dm you will have me load out? oh sure i will he said until i unloaded and all of a sudden there is no load!

my quitting over pay and hometime has been my excuse for having quit so many jobs this year, no excuse! i hate being out 5 or 6 weeks and with 2 weeks notice they still couldn't get me home anywhere near a reasonable time 4 or 5 days after you supposed to be home is unexceptional!

S o now i am trying to find a home weekly job but the many jobs is now the problem! I dont like sitting , dont hang around truck stops and always run till the qualcomm forces me to stop!

    #### at 58 I should know better! but its done now what to do!

ok its the past how do i move beyond this any advice would be appreciated!

I've had 5 jobs in the past year also. But most of this was because of being pushed to use elog, and or equipment not being kept up. Don't worry you will figure it out. Google, search, ask what good companies you can apply to, read the threads here, consider where you will go, and what you want to do, and what pays good. I like otr give me paper and an old truck with no governed limit and I will work for cheap. While also hauling ### I like tire chains on ice out west. I'm somewhat not right I guess.

An old timer once told me that a rolling stone gathers no moss. Once you find a good company, stick with it come he!! or high water. Just my 2 cents.

I think it's a people issue more than anything.

That and that pull to go home. When horsie gets barnitis... Forget about the rest of the trip he he.

Find out which temp services hire cdl grads in your area. If you work for a temp service, you can work for as many trucking companies as you want and it doesn't count as job hopping because you work for the temp service and the temp service is paying you.
I signed up with one years ago and the next day I called in and they wanted me to make a run to California from Tennessee. I said no, I'm tired of running out there for now. She said, well, here's a local job available with a different company and you can stay there as long as you want; when you're tired of it, we'll give you something else with another company.

I remember you when you were first thinking about getting into trucking. Sometimes it's hard to make the transition, but in the long run worth it.
I remember you were looking at Celadon and Swift for training.

Have you thought about other non "trucking industry" cdl jobs? Example, I dont know the companies or the pay, but sometimes you see trucks come into fast food restaurants that pump out their grease traps. These trucks are usally 2 axle tanker trucks but have air brakes so they require a cdl a.

Again, I dont know the pay for stuff like that, but there are cdl a local jobs that you probably get a hourly rate at that are outside of the freight Industry. This way you wouldn't have to be otr and can likely get company benifits.

There's lots of those jobs around; AirGas is one of them.
    Fastenal
    Waste Management
LTL companies have local pickup & delivery or line haul drop & hook, terminal to terminal. Southeastern Freight Lines is one of several of those companies.
