Just got off the phone with Millis Transfer recruiting and I'm so pissed right now I could put my head through a wall.
After reading all the reviews and great stories on MT, I went ahead and submitted an application. I was told that I would hear something in 48 hours and it's now been well past that. I called the office in WI and talked to, what I can only think was a recruiter.
She asked my name and then looked me up and said that i wasn't eligible for employment with MT because, get this, I had an unemployment gap of more than 3 months in 2015-2016. I was in OHIO, taking are of my sick father, who had ALS, because my mom was alone and had to work. He later passed away and I then stayed with mom to help get the house ready for sale.
I explained to her that, not only am I a Marine Combat Veteran, but that my father was as well and I had to be there.
Well, long story short, she wasn't listening and I was given the boot to the curb.
What a ####in load of horse ####, that a military Combat Vet can't get a job at a company that touts their veteran support and they encourage veterans to apply!!
FML!!

Marine-Trucker thanks for your service!
As far as Millis it might be they aren't hurting for applicants and they're being picky. You know how the military works when they don't really need a bunch of new recruits they get very picky, it could be the same at Millis.2step, Purree, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.
