I'm not familiar with Tenn. but again, your best friend there was the CB radio. We knew where they were.
What's with Ohio cops hamming the hell out of truckers?

Ya, PUCO can be a bit... harsh. I had one pull me over for not using my tarp on a 3 sided crushed car hauler a few months ago. The total trip was literally 2.5 miles from the auto-salvage yard to PSC metals and that yard always crushed cars real clean (and I always went over the load pulling loose stuff off to boot.) He put me out of service and wouldn't let me leave until I got the tarp on. The real treat? He pulled me over on the ramp for Parsons Rd... 50 yards away from the entrance to PSC.
Rules is rules, ya know!
He also got me for not having tiedowns on the center stack of cars... that was 2 cars high and had 2 other 5 car stacks literally sitting on top of it (this is on a double drop car hauler.) I seriously had to run straps between cars in order to strap that middle stack down. All that to go 50 more yards on a public road. Lol
On the plus side, at least we can use the left lane on 3 lanes most places here still... AND we don't have split speed limits anymore.bigguns, 201, stwik and 1 other person Thank this. -
Ohio has been doing this for years! If you see one cop you can count on seeing several more.

Our version would be the Hazmat compliance unit of the Maryland Department of the Environment. They love to harass anyone with a placard.
