I never bothered turning it until I got home when I ran system. I would always take a few days off and that money helped keep the paychecks more consistent.

 

More than I wanted this week. I got in Tuesday and not back out till Monday. Friday’s check going to be sad.

 

Suit yourself. The way I look at it is:

They dispatched you on a load with layover built into it. Stopping for weather delay just cashes that time in early. Driving 60 mph at .50 cpm is $30 an hour. That same more stressful hour only pays $15 at 30mph. Same thing happens when you get stuck in traffic for an hour. Your mph average drops, reducing your pay. They do me no favors with 14 hours free before layover starts so I do them none on this. Sitting for 38 hours pays the same as 24 the way they do it.
