Load boards look pretty grim lately. Some of it is seasonal and some of it isn't. Let's hear about what's happenin' with your normal freight and rates. How's your freight holdin' up? How are your rates? Are you guys who are leased to carriers getting decent miles and revenue workin' for the big guys?
How's your freight and rate???

Yeah, we all know it's slow and not good. Let's get specific... how much are you off, % or dollar or miles wise from normal? If you're doing good and you wanna brag then bring it on too!
-
Well now that you asked....
I never thought I'd be "happy" taking a load for less than $1.50/m..... -
owner operators tend to not like to discuss there rates I find. too much opertunity for someone to undercut ya
Lil Blue Pony Thanks this. -
im not shure about us were ok as long as winter is cold people will keep buying stuff from academy and i think that will keep us a float but im unshure if many o/o,s will survive next year

our agents that have been doing this for 30+ years say this is the worst they have seen as far as freight goes, rates are still good on some stuff but most are falling. Problem is that good freight going one way leaves you someplace that has 1-1.25/mile back out. As far as figuring out a % it is hard because as much as fuel has come down the rates have. I was prolly doing $1.90-2.00 earlier this year and I am prolly doing $1.25 now with alot of empty got mad and drove home miles figured in there

Ours is slow. Was off about 10% a month ago.Now maybe 25% and climbing.Coupled with extenuating circumstances I`m worried. Not much in the way of jobs in any of the area papers.Should mention that normally would not slow down until Christmas week.
