Finally got my own truck

But the 23.00 didn’t come easy. I sold myself and I meant it. I explained I will be available 24/7 365 including holidays and birthdays. I can stay out for months or days, whatever he needs. All I asked for was a clean truck which I got.
He now has trust in me, I don’t miss appointments, I don’t have excuses. He recently had me train a new driver which was fun. Then he flew me out to Atlanta to recover a truck and trailer. The driver ended up on drugs. Sure, I had to clean the truck but it’s okay.. I’m paid by the hour. That felt good, jumping on a plane and being “The Golden Retriever”! Well, that’s what I called myself. haha

I’m overweight by 700 lbs and running 95 from FL to CT. The company agreed via text to pay the fines. Can I personally get fined?? Will this go on my CDL??

Agreed. They will be pissed but it’s my CDL. IF I killed someone on the way back (knowing I’m overweight) or IF someone slams into me and dies... THEN I’m going to jail for a long time. Especially knowing I scaled the load. I will do the right thing.
