    They reimburse you that way because it’s non taxable money. If they added it into the revenue side like hourly pay or mileage pay state and federal taxes would come out of it.

    One major thing that I’ve noticed since switching from schneider to superior is even with me taking off 2 days a week and being home those 2 days I’m still making around 1500 for the week. First week was 1435, I worked 4.5 days, 2nd week I worked 5 days and made 1545 bucks. At schneider I was having to work all 7 days and be nowhere close to home to make 1500 bucks. I’m very satisfied with my decision to change company’s. I can get home a lot more now and even make around same as I did when I was hardly ever coming home

    Running how you want to and decent pay is a sweet gig. I am still changing it up. Did a long system run and am taking 6 days off. I'll run a shorter system run the next time. If I lived closer to the terminal, I'd do some out and backs for half the month. Trying to get my wife to agree on moving to Wilmington for a while. Kids are on board.

    Btw...... I heard through the grapevine, the Ecolab account is completely screwed up right now, especially Joliet. Somehow a skinless tank for loaded with caustic and then sat for days in the yard. SNI had no idea until they called the tank wash to ask if they could heat it. Kind of hard to steam a load that doesn't ever have steam connections.
