Your administrator can edit that to PC. They will have to annotate the change. "Driver forgot to log return trip of PC" would cover them in any audit.

Now the $50,000 question is will they. Going to have to call them on that.

Yes. The eLogs will quickly learn you how to be very particular about where you decide to take a long break or a 34 away from home or terminal without alternate transportation.

I never bobtail anywhere during a 34. What if you are out longer than 30 mins because of traffic? No more off-duty drive. It maxes out at 30 mins. Then you lose your 34.

I am using KT and I can change driving time to PC driving . Must be logged as admin. Driver account does not have that option.

Near the end of my career, I arrived at our op center the night before I was to head out after home time (I lived 105 miles away and would return the night before so I could start early the next day).

I drove around our op center to find an empty. Dang thing put me on the driving line after I started my second cycle around the lot. Ended up driving a few hours that night to avoid having 3 minutes come back to me eight days later. Couldn’t get it changed, hence the evening departure. What a crock. Certainly helped me feel more comfortable leaving trucking for good.

    Just for clarity:

    - If you have an AOBRD, you can edit anything you like, but you need to annotate why you made the change, as the AOBRD is supposed to show you made an edit.

    - If you have an ELD, you cannot change drive time to anything else. Not allowed at all, by anyone.

However, keep in mind that a number of "ELD's" on the market are not really compliant.....so YMMV

What are you basing this on? There is no time limitation on Personal Conveyance. That could be your company's policy, but it is not an FMCSA rule.

It must just be my company. Thought that was everyone..Didn’t know you could legally drive all you wanted during a 34!

Various companies have varying restrictions. Some, such as mine, limit it to a certain amount of time per week. Others have a daily limit. Owner/operators have no time limitation for PC.
