OK, READ my words VERY carefully. Stop going off half ####ed saying this or that. Check what the company is reporting on you. Wait some time order your DAC and/or see what a new employer got back. A carrier reports 3 things when asked. This is also on your DAC summary. 1 Dates employed. 2 reason for leaving 3 rehire status. If 2 says quit and 3 says DO NOT REHIRE, you have a problem. This is a red flag and if noticed a company EVEN IF THEY DON"T USE DAC will want to know why. However quitting while under dispatch is not that serious. It is the quitting and truck/load abandonment that will come back and bite you. Knowledge is power. You don't know if you have a problem until you see the problem.
Edited to add this last point. If you are working leave it alone. If you were under a dispatch and quit then the comment is accurate and you might not get it removed.

Ah yes, newbies take note. The old bait and switch. Abandoning a load WHILE under dispatch is a far greater offense. These companies are just awful, but it's the only way they can move their freight, lie to you. I'd have done the same thing. Like others said, in the future, make sure IN WRITING what you are going to be doing. You'll be fine.
Maj. Jackhole Thanks this. -
Hell, I quit under dispatch from my first CDL job. I would make 5 pickups in Detroit, deliver in Dallas, picking up empty racks going back up to Detroit to deliver those when I picked up the freight destined for Dallas again. I was never really empty, so there really wasn't any other way to go about quitting. I gave my 2 weeks notice, and then when the time came I dropped the truck and loaded trailer off at a terminal and made my way home. Don't know what was put on my DAC...wasn't ever an issue.

How Do I Request a Copy of My Background Report/File? | HireRight
you can get one free copy each year. i get one every year, no matter what, and i have been at my employer now, going on 7 years.
if you ever need an additional copy past your free one, then i believe there is a charge. -

One MORE point on this ignorant subject. Drivers come in these boards all the time and tell half truths. The amount of drug users looking for workarounds to avoid drug testing actually has people making snide comments in private messages and in facebook. I just made a facebook comment with a friend of mine that posts in TTR about just that. Just because you don't agree with a company's reason's behind a comment does not mean it is false and can be easily removed. I don't know what your status was when you quit and honestly don't give a good ####. However you were either under a dispatch according to them or you were not. That is the point! If you were you might be able to get a chance to make your own rebuttal in DAC but you will not get it removed.

Okay, not really sure why this thread escalated so quickly but it needs to stop. DAC reporting is a very widely discussed topic around here as we all know. Let's discuss it civil like please.
