My plan is to flip my truck at the 4 to 5 year mark.

However, I take impeccable care of my truck. I'm the only one who drives it.

Who knows, if this tool is still performing to my liking at that time, I might just keep it longer after it's fully depreciated & paid off.

That's still a couple years out and we all know what can happen over night, let alone 2 years from now ;-)

See I don't use a real time period, I use a combination of depreciation and maintainanace metrics, when the truck starts to climb in costs with repairs, it goes.

How much roughly does one truck cost you per year over the course of 3-5 years?

IMO for a one truck show something like this bought for 40-45k would be a good choice Screenshot_20180131-144851.png

Can you make money with it? Or take it to a truck show rather?

I live in Oregon and choose to only run the I-5 corridor, OR/WA/CA and that's it.

Therefore, an emissions truck is a must, CA being my sweet spot, honey hole, money maker. You get my drift ;-)

Why can't you? If everything was rebuilt using genuine parts that kind of thing will run another million miles without problems.
My buddy has a shop, he overhaules newer trucks with 500k all the time, old ones go to 1.5 mil usually. I personally have seen few older trucks with over 2 mil and no inframe.

On D13 I know people do injector cups roughly every 200-300k miles and it needs a new bull gear at around 800k. That's when ishift warranty ends. Just trade it in at 700k and you should be all good :)

    Scooter Jones Thanks this.

I'm pretty sure they fixed the injector cup issues, at least that's what the service mananger told me earlier this week when I had them do my valve adjustment.

I think Boywander just did them on his truck with under 200k miles, posted in his thread about it
