amazing how bad the mega drivers are

Its not just the Mega’s! And, there are many of us that have been with a mega for years that have great records!

 

Swift drivers run 3 million miles per recordable accident.

 

I'm nearly 2 years in and still do dumb #### every now and then.

Nothing swift like tho.

 

I will truly never understand that. What's holding them there, pride? Some companies are willing to pay so much for experince drivers.

 

But can those companies get the driver home? What about benifits? What about vacation pay? Three weeks of vacation pay for 2-3 years washes out any hiring bonus and then some. If you're earning what you want, feel respected, and are otherwise happy - why would you leave?

 

I get a weeks vacation every 30,000.. miles! That’s $4000... bonus every year... plus additional benefits of long term and short term disability insurance; critical care insurance; accidental insurance ; and additional life insurance at group rates.. the health insurance is kinda expensive; but available: I get mine elsewhere.. but, most smaller companies don’t have any of the above..... that’s why I stay....

 

At my mega... not SWIFT, tho... I don’t know much about them...

 

Absolutely! My company treats me well; I get home when I want too within a few days; usually.. and I’ve been paid fairly and over the years additionally so that I will stay until I retire or something else happens!

 

The OP has 15 months of driving experience yet feels inclined to discuss the mistakes of others when he/she is still very much a rookie and ought to be more humbly focused on learning and what their doing.

 

Lol! I still catch myself sometimes doing something stupid after doing this for 15 years... there is always something to learn out here....isn’t there?
