When I was a company driver, I was never so much as an hour late getting home. The day I leased on a truck was the last time I didn’t have a 400 plus mile deadhead to get there. And no actually, one recordable accident in 3 million miles isn’t worse than the national average.

Yesterday I had to help a driver back into a wide open dock. Took almost 30 min to get him in. His English was broken so communication was partly the problem. Auto Cascadia. It was chaos honestly. Lol. After docking I had to show him how to unhook from his trailer. I couldn't believe it honestly, but all i could do was try and help.

Small company out of Texas. No mega that I'm aware of would let this guy out on his own. Not necessarily trying to stick up for the practices of megas just trying to add some perspective.

I also realized I would most likely be a horrible trainer. The good ones are cut from a certain cloth, and I am most certainly not it.

I certainly don't mind helping.....and my trailer was in the next door over so it was a win-win for everyone. Lol. He was just grinning. I was the one sweating.

Last week I saw a Western Express truck on the side of the road with the whole street light pole laying on top of his trailer he ripped right out of the ground making a turn he said. He said the ####.4 wheelers wouldn't let him turn or something. The whole #### thing from the base to the street light was on the trailer. I had to pull over because the street light was hanging in the left lane I couldn't fit under it and waited for traffic to clear to go around.

Kyle G. and Steel Dragon Thank this.
