ELD, the best thing to happen to the industry since the 3406B

So, what are you crying about? You're another guy thats exempt. And your argument doesn't support your claims against the ELD that again is nothing more than a tool to keep track of your HOS status, but it DOES support my argument that HOS are inefficient and need to be overhauled.
You really are a legend in your own mind.

Its a tool, nothing more.
First, I don't care about anyones settlement checks. If your happy, great, if you aren't, do something about it. But it does show your arrogance to say something like that.
NONE of you are anything special. Its a truck. Whatever you haul, its still driving a truck. I see in your avatar what it is you do, and again your nothing special, and yes, Ive done that also.
Of course you have shown yourself to be nothing but a loudmouth _ _ _ _ _ So, you got that going for ya, congrats.
And the fact you have no idea what I am talking about is no surprise.
Nobody is stifling any market, or competition. What it is, is a tool that keeps track of your HOS status. Nothing more. And, yes, it is the way to go. Because it is more accurate at keeping track of HOS duty status than a paper log.
And yes, I am sure there are ways to cheat it. I am also sure there are those who will cheat it. And the reason is, there are criminals in this world. Doesn't matter what you do, there are still criminals who will break the law. There are also many irresponsible people in the world. They will always be irresponsible, because they are irresponsible. They are criminals. All you can do is thwart them.
Trucking is not about getting a load somewhere on time as per agreed. It is a job where you get a load somewhere safely, efficiently, and LEGALLY. Trucking isn't a criminal enterprise. And don't make the mistake of thinking if you are falsifying logs and not following HOS regulations that you are not breaking the law. YOU ARE.
And don't give me the argument"thats the way its done" Or tell me thats how its always done. Doesn't matter. If its wrong its wrong. Doesn't matter how long you've been doing it wrong, its wrong.
And if it really is a leveling of the playing field, which it isn't. Well then fine. And , if you are following the law, why would you are about leveling the playing field? Because this isn't going to effect you. Its only going to effect those breaking the law................. oh ya, right............


AND ONE LAST THING
If you are one who is lying, cheating, and breaking the law to "get the job done because that is what trucking is" or whatever other nonsense you spew out, well, I don't really care what you have to say, and I don't care what your problem is. I just don't care. Because you are a lying, cheating criminal, and I have no use for you.
Also I have spoken to every single person in this thread respectfully, many of you have been completely disrespectful in return. This is not surprising, considering, but, this also shows what kind of person you are.
I have no use for you, and do not care if you can't hang. If you don't want to follow the law, park the truck and go to McDonalds. They have an opening for you.

 

I wanted to address this one on its own merits. I never said it was about safety. I do think some of you guys have some major problems with your reading comprehension though.
Hmmm.
Most people with reading comprehension problems either suffer from Dyslexia, or their I.Q. falls on the left side of the bell curve.
