Yes, I have picked up hitchhikers. Fortunately, we're not as uptight with the rules as y'all. ;)

However, if you want to keep your job...

Whatever happened to the carefree days of my youth? When I was in Junior High, my mother would drop me off on the highway out of town to go skiing. Some memorable rides for sure. o_O

I only worried the time I came home and there was a different family living in our house...

I ve heard stories of a particular mega that picked up a passenger, and as soon as the door closed, their phone rang, it was the company telling that driver to get that passenger out the truck

Congrats i'd give you a 10/10 for kindness, compassion, and empathy unfortunately as its not your vehicle the company has the final say if you've signed an agreement with them they do unfortunately have the right to say you've done wrong, even though from the public's point of view you've really done a great thing.

Never take a hiker. Anyone finds a unauth pax in your rig you are so fired.

Never mind the risks today incurred in taking potential bad guys. Truckers have been killed for the rig.

    TravR1 Thanks this.

It's not that difficult. Seats have sensors in them. You can test it by putting something that is heavy on the pax seat.

This company had an embedded mic in the truck. This was before all of the cameras became about

Labatts brewery in the 50’s and 60’s use to have a policy, if a driver came upon any motorist at all that required assistance, and the driver did not stop to check on them. He would be fired.
Nowadays it is the other way around.
