The picture in your sig.. how did he get so far before it fell off? Did he leave the landing gear down and it hit bottom and popped it off the truck?

Check your Company Rules regarding Passengers in your Truck. That should be your : Final answer.!! ( I could present to You a whole array of possible Scenarios once you pick up a hitchicker.) But Im not going to go there....Be safe out there, it takes only One mistake...and your future could be "chopped" in one second. Happy Trails..!!

Or hit a bump! With all these trucks having driver facing cameras these days all it takes is one bump to set that stupid thing off and a driver could be out of a job

With my luck I’d hit a bump and the camera would catch me singing Britney Spears or something

That was you? Well my therapist is glad. Took $50K in help to get that mental image out of my mind.

In desolate places, or what I deem to be a situation that warrants me helping someone, Well I could careless what the company thinks about.

If I believe its the right thing then I will get involved. I have changed lots of tires, once went and purchased a water pump and hoses then installed them , I carry gas, and water 5 gallons each never needed them in my truck, but for others, given more rides then I can count. That's part of what I was raised to believe is being a trucker, but then I'll help the guy who can get it backed in, also part of the job. The day that its not is the day I'll stop driving.

It all has to do with how and when you were raised. Nobody is going to tell me I can’t help someone out. Of course I have my own numbers. If i’am driving the car I am more likely to stop. Now if I am under a load I will stop as long as safety get off the road.
