Sometimes I wonder why anyone would consider becoming a truck driver who reads these forums.

    Just saying ...

When people seek advice, and the advice given is not what they expected, people take that advice as harassment, belittling. It is a little trick the mind plays on you. It is not that the advice is bad or demeaning or anything else. It is just not what you expected. This happens in all venues, but especially so on forums since their is no personal knowledge or contact with whom your speaking.

Yes everybody says ask the current company driver what they think about this or that. Only thing, all of these mega trucking companies like "Werner" run 100% annual turnover, and the driver you ask will most know less about trucking then the random idiot off the street; they are all new and punch drunk on the idea they are truck driving and not seeing the forest for the trees.

So you feel your career is much like a convince store?

With my limited reading comprehension I have yet to read where you have been harassed, just posters trying to help in confirming what you already feel in your gut.
Also stop worrying about convenience. That's called the "Path of least resistance", and start looking for a place to park your truck.

To clear the air. I don’t think everyone here is harassing me. It was more of a play in words. There are one or two posts where it seems like someone is literally just trying to belittle me and want to talk about how I mightn’t be someone that doesn’t care enough about putting in any effort. Where I’m sitting here trying to do just that. For the most part everyone here has and always has in the past been very informative, respectful and have meant very well and I appreciate it greatly. I’m thinking I’m just gonna go to CFI and give Werner the chopping block... idk where I’d be able to park the truck at though on home time is my only problem. They don’t seem to have a terminal here and I’m not too sure how to look up areas for leaving the truck during said time because my grandmas house is definitely not an option lol.

Call towing companies and RV storage places. You can also try Uhaul locations some of them have pretty large lots.
    Paving companies too.

    tscottme and sealevel Thank this.

Knowing that you're in Florida and there's not a wide range of opportunities available, I'd continue looking for other opportunities starting out. And yes, I understand everyone has to start somewhere, just saying I'd be researching more companies other than just the two you listed.

Setting yourself up in your first year trucking, will pay dividends down the line with much better employment, once you gain the experience and are a proven reliable employee.

The OP is talking about Werner not Warner. I think you are confused with another carrier.
