That sucks dude. Was told winter is Schneider slow season but no work at all is hard to believe. They most likely due have work but nothing going to an area they want to put you in if you are also looking at Houston by next week.

Yeah makes sense to me. Im assumimg the Ohio load monday is to get me set up for home. Im sure Tuesday and Wednesday will be sending me back the 1100 miles home is there general plan. When i think about it i drove to new Jersey by the 3rd day with over half a day of work left and then i basically did 1 local run, maybe a regional run, but it was more or less done in 1 work day and then i did a trlr move. Now im gonna get a Ohio load which is more or less a days work and then a load back to houston (probably). Strange. But i agree, winter is definitely their slow time but atleast im making a little money and se experience. Can't complain too much

Actually there is a lot to do in the 'Burgh. Look up local attractions on the web and do a bit of sightseeing.
The refinery in Warren PA where I normally haul from will be closing in March for repair work, and we'll be hauling from the refinery down there in Coraopolis.

I'm stuck here in New Jersey still. No assignment yet. About to have a 34 hour reset here in a few hours which is just sad.

Cuts into my savings plan so I've tried to avoid eating out. Spent $60 on delivery already which is above my current weekly spending limit. When you have $500/week automatically pulled to be put in savings you have to watch your spending. I try to find places that I can visit that don't cost much money but nothing in this area.

Wouldn't of mind being stuck in Cincinnati since last time I was there I got me some killer sushi.

I feel that. Of the 750 i got this Friday i put atleast 500 aswell into savings. I bought an ecig for 23$ spent 7$ on uber spent 20$ on beer and 17 on coffee and pizza/fries. Most money ive spent all week. And i gotta say i enjoyed every bit of it. Asides from that i eat out of my truck. Turkey sandwiches everyday lol

I'm about ready to buy me a cheap cooler with ice to store perishables and simple stock up on cheap food to save money on the road. I budget $240/week for food which is not hard to hit when you are eating at truck stops all the time. I could possible spend $200/month when I get my cooking system set up.

All my excess money is going into savings. I have an emergency fund that will max at 12k since I can live off $1,000/month easy. When I hit my year with Schneider I will evaluate what the best choice of action I should take money wise.

I just don't like sitting if I don't have to. If I was a choice driver waiting on a high paying load then sitting would be fine but as a company driver I like to be kept moving. They are most likely looking for freight to Texas so I have no one to blame but me for sitting here. If I was not going home next week then I would be very upset for sitting when I have 30 hours on my 70 still.

The sitting does let me do a lot of research so I have that I guess.
