How much would I made as an ic at schnider choice a week I don't go home often like 1500 to 2000 running 3000 miles? Is that realistic or could I make more?

If you want to make company driver wages, drive a company truck.

I lease and I make 950 on 3400 miles and I'm dispatched. I may now qualify to get hired on over there because I got some details back on an incident that the Schneider recruiter was discussing with me. Heading home now and will be talking to them Monday.

more miles doesnt usually equate with higher wages as a lease op or owner op. more miles equals more overhead. you reduce costs(fuel, etc) to maximize your bottomline. as a lease op or owner op , your mentality should be drive LESS earn more.

to go into this with your current line of thinking just means you are a company driver with a lease payment and all the risk.......

THAT seems like a step backward to me. But what do I know , I just drive a truck.

I will say this much...you will have numerous load cancellations so they can put the loads on co truck..they have admitted that to me....i would only use it to learn to self dispatch and take your truck elsewhere to an owner operator co...

Opus said it earlier...the program used to be a lot better. And drvrtech77’s advice is spot-on. If I were still trucking, I’d have my own rig and authority. But the experience I gained on the CHOICE program was valuable.

You do the math and tell us.
Your weekly payment will be $1100 and your average price for fuel will be $2.80 and you will average $1.30 per loaded mile and have 10% deadhead.
If you can't do the math, there's really no reason to start.
Good luck and let us know what you figure out.

That's pathetic. I'm making 1.26 per loaded and mt miles. I didn't realize how low the per mile rate is over there. No wonder people are quitting. I'm also on a walk away lease.
