What is "supervise" the unloading? Standing on dock while they unload the trl? Are you responsible for any mistakes made in the unloading process such as overages or shortages?

We make sure that the correct pallets are off loaded at each stores, collecting upc stickers to match with the invoice. We are not responsible for any damaged product. However, after the first stop, we have the option to use load straps, or bars, to make sure that the pallets are secure. This is not always needed. Any overage or shortage will be handled after we are gone.

You forgot to mention how many 14 hours work days are involved in that 2200 miles and how many days you must go without shower because you can’t get back to DC and stuck in a Walmart store parking lot.

I didn't ask those questions. He answered all of the questions that I asked therefore he forgot nothing.

    Hahaha

"running out your 70 each week" solidly implies 14 hour days. This is not a hard job. Some days are more tiring than others, but I like knowing that I put in a solid day's work.

I take a shower at least every other day. I rarely ever have to park at a Walmart. I am able to flip most of my runs. If not, I can usually make it to a service plaza, truck stop, or even the Syracuse Terminal It is called good trip planning, and clock management.

The planner won’t even plan you a load when you have around 10 hours left while you worked for 6 days in a row. There is no way a good planner will give you a load knowing you are going to blow your 70 if something happens and they have to repower your load and having a Walmart trailer out while wait for more than 34 hours to get it back. And who’s talking about shower in truck stops. You will fuel in the DC and you will have to pay for shower in the truck stop. But then again since you are a rookie, maybe they will once in awhile give you free fuel outside of DC.

But the real question is, what is the new Swift pay?

You obviously don't know how the DC i work from is. I get loads with 6 and 7 hours left on my 70. I do a hometime reset every other week. This account is DESIGNED to run this way, for maximum deliverable product. That is how I manage the Platinum level each week. So yes it is good clock management. If I were trying to run recaps, well, then it would leave some room for improvement.

    *edit*
we get fuel stops at petro/ta, and Loves, as well. But we do fuel up at the DC, 80% of the time.
