I’m on vacation next week and a half. Should be a couple extra out and backs from High Point next week.

    Feeling relaxed

I'm hauling butyl acrylate. I can smell it faintly.
I have checked all the caps and latches nothing is leaking.

They probably didn’t rinse the crash box out thoroughly

Well I’m sitting here at Norfolk railyard in Atlanta with blown driver steer. I drove all nite here and unloaded just now and was pulling over where they said I could park at and be probably ok to sleep at. Well it was still dark and I’m tired as heck and somehow I didn’t see this small piece of angle iron on edge of the road, it’s same color as road basically so hard to see. But anyway it popped my tire. I’m so exhausted just want this nite/day to end

Thats a nasty smelling stuff, used to deliver that stuff to Mapei tile. One drop is all it takes gloves or boots whatever. And a headache the rest of the day

We had a load like that at CBSL. Some sort of chicken feed additive. One drop on any piece of clothing and you had to through them away.

Just tell Henry in the shop and Mac you need new drive tires. I would have done that weeks ago after getting stuck twice in the snow at the terminal. Just because it’s DOT legal doesn’t mean it’s safe in the winter. They will just run those drives on a trailer.

Have them put a new steer on to match that new one you just got as well.

Butyl is no fun. I get the trailer washed and force the lid open to let it air out. I'm at the tank wash trying to sleep with the windows down. I started getting congested. I get out of the truck it smells of butyl. So I close the vent line and main valve and the dome lid. Walk a bit start breathing better and back to try to sleep. Im picking up waste water so the odor won't affect the load.

    ChicagoJohn Thanks this.

I was just kidding, they put new drives on rte after I got stuck and u said something about it. I sent a mssg in about them and next time I picked truck up it had all new tires. They didn’t mess around about it.
