Isn't that crazy? One doc, not trusting another doctors analysis....or is it company nonsense for bookkeeping? Hard to tell sometimes.

It is nothing short of a total and absolute disrespect for the entire Medical DOT exam system. One professional administers the exam anywhere in the USA. Issues the appropriate papers needed by another professional to go to work lawfully under our Federal Laws.

Any and all companies try to hire this professional. They say GO TO MY DOCTOR and do the DOT EXAM MEDICAL AGAIN. YOUR LONG FORM, YOUR MED CARD and so forth is WORTHLESS TO US. YOU WILL TEST with OUR DOCTOR in order to proceed through orientation.

It is a absolute SLAP, INSULT and a total "Up Yours" to the original doctor who administered everything. It is a EXPENSE and a WASTE of time for the Orientation attendee, the trucker to be examined AGAIN. And AGAIN. ANd AGAIN.

I scream BS. Then I get angry.

It's best not to have a #### thing in DOT exams or card. Company will send you to thier doctor.

If they don't? Requiring YOU to go out and get yourself a Medical Card, long form etc. Then show up and be accepted to Orientation and THEN TOLD TO GO TO THE DOT PHYSICAL AGAIN UNDER THIER SPECIFIC DOCTOR.

BS BS BS BS BS AND BS.

It's a total mockery and absolute pisser and waste on something that should be set in stone that this driver DID PASS A LAWFUL DOT MEDICAL EXAM. The SAME GD #### that the company is fixing to stick him into with another doctor.

NO. I'm also a bit surprised at some of the replies too. If you need a physical at orientation the company will provide it for you. If you are asked for your current medical most likely it is for 2 reasons. First and most important they want to see if there is at least 6 months on it and scan it. Then some carriers like to see that a CDL holder has a physical because you can't keep a CDL that's good for interstate use for long without one. If you have a physical just have the form and card with you. This is not an unreasonable request.
