Really, the mwould tell him "no problem dude, you can all the time off you want, you're fired."
If you think I'm making this up, a lot of drivers thought I was the easy one they had to deal with but I'm a prick this is my money and trucks so get rid of him and find another driver.
Being lied to by my driver

Unemployment, is not an option.Hermanlmiller, 06driver, HalpinUout and 1 other person Thank this. -
I wouldn't want to keep someone on that didn't care to check the oil or not want to drive a loner because it was a daycab. The "driver" is going to suck too much money from you, let them go work for Werner.
Hermanlmiller Thanks this. -

This kinda bugs me, cuz like it was previously stated multiple times before, I'm sure there are guys out there that might be willing to do some rather questionable things just to be able to drive. To have this ####### refusing to drive solely because he wants to be picky is just unacceptable period. And then the prick as the audacity to say "I want to be home for my birthday" after all this. I'm finding it hard to believe this employee is an actual truck driver
Hermanlmiller and fordconvert Thank this. -
I would have had a job before the mechanics got done writing up the truck
All of these "fire him" employers have a pretty high turnover rate I bet. Jobs like theirs are a dime a dozen.Tb0n3 Thanks this. -

"Get a daycab" doesn't really answer all the questions.
Where does the truck typically operate? Are there hotels with truck parking available?
Is the driver going to be forced to either shortstop to find a hotel with truck parking, or finish his day and try to sleep in that daycab?
In my situation, no way would a daycab work. And you bet your bippy I would refuse to use one. Truck parking at hotels is very limited, and there are a lot of times I need my whole clock available to make my appt times or grab enough freight to make paychecks.
And for those who would fire me over refusing to try to make a daycab work in my regular (sleeper truck) schedule? Fine. I'll be in a different colored truck by the following week, and you better hope I don't take your better customers with me! Because not only am I your driver, I'm your BEST customer service rep as well. And in many cases the only one your customers see from your company on a regular basis. And I am VERY good at my job!Last edited: Feb 20, 2018
