ELD for O/O with a fleet of ONE

It is not the easiest to find answers from the government (spoiler alert) but if you dig around enough you can find it.

VDO seems super popular from a user standpoint. I am stuck with what the company chooses so my choice is easy

 

I had level 3 today on I-20 near Anniston, AL . he asked me for instruction card and looked at DOT inspection mode. he emailed my logs to his laptop. then went to his pickup truck and looks like was digging in it.. 25 minute later gave me clean level 3 inspection report..

 

Which one do you use?

 

keeptruckin and gorilla aobrd but you can't buy aobrd anymore. keeptruckin and bigroads have good reputation. get one of them.

 

I use BigRoad. Since they were bought by FleetComplete their customer service isn’t as good but it still does the job.

 

I have been running vdo since august and it does what you need it too. Pretty simple to use dont have any complaints.

 

I have heard through DOT enforcement. That though the initial implementation date of Dec 18th. I have now heard that the mandate date has been moved by the governing agency. Something about States not ready for enforcement, and a ew other reasons for this. Maybe we will get lucky, and the vegetables in Government will do away with Elogs, after seeing the issues it is causing for some companies, drivers, and O/Op's

 

I use the BIC system. Have never had an issue with this system

 

I use the KeepTruckin' app on my phone. It's not really an ELD because my truck is exempt so I use it as a digital logbook basically because I'm lazy. I send the logs to DOT when required or print them out in my truck without ever giving them my phone.
